Neena Gupta is happy that finally a director made a film with her in the title role. The number of elderly people in India, a country full of youth, is increasing rapidly. In the last census itself, their number was above 10 crores.
Now, if the new census figures are to come, then there is a significant and pleasant increase in them. Never before have there been so many elders in the country to bless us.
Kashvi also got the idea of her film from a documentary in which a man wants to go across the border on the 70th anniversary of independence to explore the bale of his old memories on the other side.
When she herself went to her village in Jamnagar from Mumbai with her grandfather, she realized that the film was the foundation.
These days, the leaders of the Mumbai film industry are leaving the door of indigenous relationships and do not know which stories are being made, in such a situation a girl educated abroad is making ‘Sardar Ka Grandson’, this is the new India.

When the first reports of the film ‘Sardar Ka Grandson’ came out, no one had even thought of spreading the corona outbreak as an epidemic.
Then for the past year and a half, the world has understood the meaning of family. It is understood that coming home from the office, watching half an hour, watching TV with family, eating food together or watching a picture with Sunday Sunday is not family feeling.
The topping of the people’s thinking about the family has changed in the last months, the film ‘Sardar Ka Grandson’.
It is true that going into the hands of an experienced director, this film could have become an all-time classic, but the praise would have to be made by Kashvi that he put a complex subject in front of the audience with great ease.

As I wrote in the beginning, the heroine of the film ‘Sardar Ka Grandson’ is Neena Gupta. 62-year-old Neena Gupta has portrayed a 90-year-old veteran in the film named Sardar Kaur.
She weaved a lot of dreams in Lahore with her husband. However, the riot turned out to be a killer for his wishes.
She runs away from Lahore with her baby boy tied to her chest and carrying a bicycle. Across the border, she makes Amritsar her destination and starts a bicycle company.
Such a big company that even a small part of it can now be owned by someone in the will of Sardar.
Sardar has only one wish that he has to see his house in Lahore before he dies. When the grandson of the heart breaks in America, he returns to India to fulfill his grandmother’s heart and then begins the story of India-Pakistan, in which some people are bad but most people still have the arms to get a hug.
Technically, the film has become good. If the expert Jhaveri had given less concession in editing, then according to OTT, this film can be a bit more agile.
For cinemas, its length may be fine, but on OTT, if the film does not have intermittent stories, then it should remain close to two hours. In this sense, the film can be reduced by about 20 minutes.
Mahendra Shetty’s camera managed to bring the locations to life as well. In outdoor locales, his team has helped in lighting well. Vijay Ghodke has done commendable work in art direction here and Sheetal Sharma in choosing costumes.
The casting of Kavish Sinha looked good according to the story. After a long time, there has been a film on Netflix that you can watch with the whole family on a large smart TV with a drawing room.
