The news of the closure of this serial was given by its creator Mahesh Pandey through social media itself. He wrote a long post when the show was off air. On his official Instagram page he wrote, ‘On June 1, I was told that your show Vidya is going to be shut down immediately. I was shocked and I felt bad too. Many kinds of questions were arising in my mind that why such a decision has been taken. We were at the forefront of the 7 pm show when Vidya started. The story of the serial has also remained incomplete. Vidya has not yet become a teacher. But I realized that Vidya was affected by Corona. He died due to corona. And there is no other reason.
