
General Bipin Rawat Retires As Army Chief, CDS To Take Over From Tomorrow

General Bipin Rawat has retired as the Chief of Army Staff. In his farewell message, he congratulated the soldiers and countrymen for the new year. Congratulations and best wishes to the new Army Chief Manoj Mukund Narwane. This earned him a Guard of Honor in South Block. He paid tribute to the martyrs at the National War Memorial today.
Explain that the government has declared General Bipin Rawat as the first Chief of Defense Staff of the country. He will take over this post from January 1. CDS has been appointed for excellent coordination between the three armies. Rawat said, “Today, I would like to express my gratitude to the soldiers of the Indian Army who have remained stable under challenging conditions.”
