New Delhi Recently, the telecast of Ramayana which aired on Doordarshan was well liked and Ramayana broke many records. Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana emerged as such a show that it became the best serial in the last five years i.e. from 2015 till now in the case of General Entertainment category. The TRP of Doordarshan also rose significantly due to the Ramayana and even the Ramayana gained recognition globally.
According to many reports, Ramayana got 250 million or 25 million unique views, which is historical. After this success of Ramayana, Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar has told about the reaction of the people he got after his proposal shared in the office before the broadcast.
